Learn new methods to keep a close eye on the market and your competition. Organize your team to create the ideas that produce breakthrough new products. Also includes Basic Program Management Steps for new products.

E-3 Basics of Business Statistics

What the businessman needs to know about Statistics to insure successful product development. Learn how to communicate with engineers and statisticians to evaluate your challenges and opportunity. We'll teach you how to use the program you have, Microsoft Excel, to collect the numbers, then generate and analyze the right statistics.

E-4 Design of Experiments

The fundamentals of DOEs for setting up experiments to proofing out ideas. Learn the most cost effective DOE layouts. You will discover the basics of why DOEs are important in analysis and how to improve your process. Basic Programs are taught to aid you in making the big decisions using DOE techniques.

E-5 Risk Management

Analysis of new product risk. Quality, Safety, Customer, and Financial risk techniques are discussed. Technology Focus Group Techniques such as FMEA and Computer aided programs are introduced. The Basic Standards for Risk Management are taught.

E-6 Managing Innovators

Managing innovators demands a unique set of skills. Innovators do not respond to all of the classic models of motivation. A good manager knows how to communicate and lead the innovators within their company. Company's innovators have to be managed so that their productivity is maximized. Understanding of what are the best management principles to encourage innovation and how to implement them in your organization are taught.

E-7 21st Century Marketing

Marketing in 2010 is very net centric. We will discuss the tools that are available for marketing research and organizing a Web-Aware marketing plan. Case studies will teach you how to layout your own plan and gather data.

The use of Total Quality Control (TQC) tools to drive quality improvement within your organization.
